14 new buses have been presented and will enter in service within short on urban and interurban lines, which is consistent with the methanisation of Apam’s fleet launched as works finished in its deposit in Via dei Toscani for the creation of a methane compression and refueling facility.
These investments represent a further confirmation of APAM’s engagement in a considerable reduction of buses’ average life and in making Apam’s fleet more and more “green”: recent acquisitions further lower the average life of APAM vehicles, which is now 8.2 years, a significant sign of excellence both from national and European points of view.
All new buses are last generation vehicles with Euro 6 engine, equipped with air conditioning, air-ride and electronicroute and stop indicators.
Among safety equipment devices, the thermal system of fire detection and extinguishing is critical and in methane buses leak detection installation through sensors is also present with an acoustic signaling alarm and pre-alarm system.
All buses are equipped with a manual platform lift, which is practical and efficient to meet the transport needs of users with impaired mobility at best.
