Fines may be issued aboard if:
Passengers lacking a regular ticket or pass are fined.
In case of a repeated violation of rules over a five-year period, the amount of the second fine may double.
In case of failure to present the pass, the fine will be nullified only if the passenger presents the lacking document within 5 days after the transaction of the fine, upon the charge of 10€ for administrative expenses at following offices

If the fee of 10€ for administrative expenses is paid due to a fine issued for not having presented the pass, the receipt of the payment and a copy of the pass shall be faxed to number 0376 230 330 or emailed toapam@apam.it.
An issued fine can be disputed within 60 days after the transaction of proces-verbal or notice of violation by sending an email or fax to APAM head office in Via Dei Toscani 3/c.
The dispute must be presented as a written statement including a valid postal address or email address in order to receive the issued decision.
As procedure, the dispute is replied with a written statement and in case it is accepted, the fine in question is automatically nullified. Otherwise, the individual is required to pay the fine in question.
