APAM manages urban public transport on behalf of the Municipality of Mantua through a service contract. The service is divided into 13 lines, divided into two zones: zone A (city of Mantua) and zone B (municipalities in the urban area: Porto Mantovano, Borgo Virgilio, Curtatone and San Giorgio).
The buses used for the urban service are identified by the color orange.
The urban public transport service has 584 stops, spaced on average 250 metres. Each stop is equipped with a timetable which also indicates the nearest point of sale. Some stops have a lighted information system that shows the waiting times of the lines in real time.
APAM offers service 364 days a year, with complete suspension on May 1st and reduction of trips on January 1st and December 25th. The winter service runs from January 1st to the end of school and from the beginning of school to December 31st, while the summer service is active from the end of school until the start of the new school year.
